Beautiful and Relaxing Home
by The Trbuza FamilyThis year, much to my sadness at the time, my kids requested an outdoorsy lake vacation instead of our usual beach week. After visiting relatives in Elkins, we headed to Canaan Valley to Mountain Serenity. I grew up visiting this area of WV; going to Black Waterfalls and Seneca Caverns more times than I can count so I was prepared to be unimpressed. When we walked in the door of Mountain Serenity, I fell in love! From the perfect little foyer to sit and organize all our shoes, the beautifully furnished and decorated great room, perfectly equipped kitchen, and four gorgeous bedrooms (each with their own coordinating bathrooms), there was no detail that was overlooked. The billiard room and basement family room were a fun addition, and the sparlking clean spa was a treat. We all fished and kayaked at the lake every day. We went antiqueing, mini golfing, to the falls, hiking the nearby trails, and hiked the two hour trail up Seneca Rocks. There were so many wonderful restaurants that it was hard to decide where to eat. The nearby little town of Davis is a hidden gem with all of its shops and galleries. We all loved our vacation, and would definitely stay at Mountain Serenity again. You can tell that the owner cares deeply for this home, as do the staff at Canaan Realty.
